A seasoned technical communicator, Jan Timmons has enjoyed
more than 25 years of experience writing and editing technical
documents, brochures, and other communications media on a variety
of subjects.
Timmons began migrating away from technical editing toward freelance web design during the past five or six years. A geek-wannabe since she met Bob Stocker while doing a computer internship at D.U. in 1988, Timmons has since surrounded herself with IT and web design experts.

Academic background
Her academic qualifications include: MS in Communications
and Marketing, MA in Counseling and Guidance, and
BA in English. Plus, of course, classes and instruction in XHTML, CSS, and forms from the HTML Writers Guild, a non-profit educational association of Web developers from around the world. Her colleague, Simon Lemstra, also helped her with the subjects and taught her a wee bit about PHP and WordPress.
