Infinitives, split and otherwise has a new name, but our goals remain the same: to help you communicate clearly.
While good writers use split infinitives judiciously and sparingly, sometimes avoiding the split infinitive simply isn't worth the bother. The split infinitive has gained an acceptance in today's language. We at The Word Lab accept that.
